Kathryn Anne Daniels

Kathryn Anne Daniels of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday August 17, 2024.

Katy’s most beloved role on this earth was as mother to her two children. Nothing made her more happy, more proud, or gave her more fulfillment than raising them and seeing them become successful adults. Second to the love for her children was her love for reading. The morning paper was her daily ritual each morning at the kitchen table, and there was always a stack of books in progress next to her favourite chair in the family room. Katy also loved to laugh, to make people laugh (or at least smile), and she could find humor in almost every situation.

In 2003 Katy received the gift of life: an pancreas transplant which effectively ended her diabetes. Not one day passed after receiving the pancreas that Katy wasn’t grateful for her donor and the extra years which the organ allowed her to enjoy.

Katy is survived by her husband E. Scott Daniels; her children Cameron Cornelius (Jessie) and Samantha Cornelius; stepson Kenton Daniels (Jenni); her brothers Jamie Rasmussen (Kim) and Pete Rasmussen (Lori). She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Emma, Ellie, Elijah, Erin, Kayden, and Auora. Passing from this world before her were her parents, Frank and Carolyn Rasmussen (nee Humbert), and stepdaughter Kaitlyn Bell (nee Daniels).

Katy was truly a gem. She had such a positive impact on every person she met; she will be missed by all.
